Year 2036 another science expedition to mars has discovered some for of prehistoric plant life form. They brought it back to earth for further study, thinking it was harmless and benign no bio safe guards were put in place. Once they added some water to examine how it would respond, something began to emerge from this little speck of ancient material. It got out of the lab and it quickly evolved and took over all manner of life. Only a few survived, but they are no longer human.

A bleak future that doesn't bode well.
So that's how Mars was destroyed. And now the same fate awaits Earth.
It seems to me that this girl has lost almost everything that makes us human at such a young age.
It's a scene that makes me sad when I think about it.
Great scene, well done. Light and shadow, as always, in the right proportions and in the right place.
