The Dire Stone
3D Render by bisonraviI tried to do something with the miniature that uses a static object to create a nice, fantasy background. While the object has some depth, it lacks the depth to make it look convincing. I'm still happy with the drape of the dress, though. 
The dForce does look good, as is true of your gallery. I've wondered about those mini backgrounds but hadn't committed yet. I expect they'll improve some over time. The skeletal monument makes the scene look almost ritualistic.

The background is a good idea in itself but I think it looks "fake" (it IS fake as it's 3D, but it shouldn't look that fake
), as a panel in a theater... But as I have changed all the lighting, I might have lower the quality. I'll do more tests!

Somehow they all give me this fake feeling and that holds me back from buying one.

The principle is to place complete 3D components in the foreground and a background. The background is not a flat object, but its depth is too shallow to achieve a difference between the most distant parts of the landscape. The fog effect to create distance is therefore not very effective. In addition, the landscape lighting is fixed… But with a blurred background, it could give good results. I should do more tests.
