This is absolutely disgusting!

I am sooo disappointed!

Oh, I know... I can hear you all now...

"Awww, how cute!"
"Oooh! This is so sweet!"
"Look at the picture of the adorable little pixie and the cute little gnome..."
"And with his little pet mouse sleeping there and everything..."

BLECH!
Makes me want to throw up!

See, you have no idea what is REALLY happening in this picture!

First off, a little back story...

Bingles is one of the very few gnomes that live "openly" on our property.
Evidently, according to Terra, there are many others hidden away beneath us in what Terra calls "The Basement".
Except I don't have a basement.
No she says, there are hundreds of tunnels and caves deep beneath our house that the gnomes have built.
However, we seldom see any of them unless they wish us to.
And that's okay, live and let live is my motto.
But something that you should all know...

Gnomes are scary! REALLY REALLY SCARY!

I don't mean like boogeyman scary, or slice you up in the middle of the night type scary...
They are quiet, generally respectful, shy little guys that don't bother anyone (except evil brownies or imps etc.).
But what makes them scary is this...

They have very clever, nimble, and talented little fingers and minds.
And they are curious.

Hang on, let me explain...
A few months ago, Miranda's laptop died. I was going to throw it out, but Terra suggested I let Bingles look at it.
I laughed!
I mean... He's a really decent little guy, if a bit... ummm... "promiscuous" with all the pixies, but after all, he's a gnome!
What is a gnome going to do with a laptop!?! They make thing out of nuts and string and wood and stuff...
I laughed some more...

He fixed it.

Not only fixed it, but upgraded the storage, and made the damn thing faster than ever before!

See, when you are so tiny, it is easy to work on even tinier things...
And when your clever and curious... You take those tiny things apart to see how they work...
See where this is going yet?

Within days of taking my laptop apart and putting it back together, he then started building his own tiny laptops...
Terra has one.
And he is making her a cell phone.
All pixie/gnome sized.
And better than our "human" ones.

And now... Terra says ALL the gnomes are hooked into the internet. Ours, as well as their own WorldWideGnomeNet!
Gnomes can build ANYTHING they can take apart and study.
ANYTHING!!!

Computers... cell phones... cars... tanks... jet fighters... nuclear submarines...

Ya... Now you start to see the scary part.

Gnomes could literally take over the world!

So why don't they?
I asked Bingles about it the other day.

The answer was, "Why would we want to?"
The thing that makes a gnome happy, outside of taking things apart just to see how they work, is just to sit in their comfortable little houses and workshops, and make things out of nuts and string and wood and stuff.

Ya, they don't take over the world simply because they are not interested in it.
For now...

Sleep well tonight.

Anyways, with that out of the way, you want to know why this picture is upsetting me..!?!
It's the pixies...
All the pixies have started "trading favors" with the gnomes to get their very own high-gnome-tech goodies!
Yup, you got it. The "Pixie Prostitution" has begun!

That's Monroe currently sitting on Bingles lap.
I bet you can guess how she got her name...
Loves Marilyn Monroe movies. A little dose of pixie magic even has her looking like her.
She's definitely the most "curvaceous" pixie I have ever seen.
Even has her own calendar. You can almost make one of them out on the wall in the background there.
So what's the problem you ask..?

She is currently trying to finagle a "gnomephone" of her own out of Bingles!
Blatantly trading not only her calendar, but other "favors" as well.
For a phone!

But why does that upset me so?

I don't know.

After all, women have been trading sex for just about everything since the beginning of time.
Female chimpanzees have been observed trading sex for fruit in the wild.

I just thought pixies would be different.
They seem innocent. Untouched by the greed and materialism of the human world.
Maybe I was the innocent one.

Miranda: "Hey babe!? Can you take out the trash on your way to clean out the garage today?"

Me: "Ya, as soon as I finish this post."

Miranda: "I'll fix you some "lunch" as soon as I change my outfit! (giggle)"

Me: "Are you gonna wear those sexy little overalls I like?"

Miranda: "Anything for you baby!"

So maybe I am just as guilty as they are...
Anyways, better go.
