Here's something different...
You have all met Miranda, and I will be posting many more images of her in the future, but I also live with pixies, gnomes, brownies, fairies, treants, and the list goes on and on.
Years ago, I happened to rescue an injured pixie. Up until that point I, like all of you, thought them to be simply make believe. Something found in children's stories and fairy tales.
Boy was I wrong.
Little did I know at that time, that I would eventually become a sanctuary, protector, father figure, and friend to an entire encyclopedia of "fairytale creatures"!
Word spread, and though it embarrasses me to say this, I have now become a bit of a legend among the fae myself.
I ended up having to sell my house, and purchase an entire wildlife refuge in order to hide and protect these last remaining refugees.

But, I am getting ahead of myself...
You see, I try to make a point to meet every new arrival. I don't always remember their names, but at least the face will be familiar.
In this case however...
Meet l'il Squirt.
That being the name I gave her... I had no choice.
I held out my hand for her, and she came in for a shaky landing.

"Hello little one." I said, "What's your name?"

And then...
Well, after all, it's perfectly understandable...
The poor thing was so very nervous.
She, well, she had a little accident.
Yup, right in my hand...

So you see, I had no choice, and I have called her L'il Squirt ever since.
