Cryosleep - no heartbeat, no breathing, just icy silence.
And yet: a knocking on the glass wall of the chamber. Strange, eerie.

An alien? A mirage?
Am I even dreaming? Why should consciousness dream in ice?
Or does it shatter because it never dreams, never finds rest?

Is the scratching at the chamber real -
or is this a mind breaking, melting into the void?

Is Ensign Jaxx dreaming? Or is a nightmare becoming reality?
