"Wait? Is this child Larahchian?" Ebrima quizzed nervously as Bacia nodded in agreeance "Maybe she once was, but I found her wandering the forest, alone and afraid" her eyes watching as Maura carefully changed Scorpio into the clothing offered by the Vishneki. "She never has told me quite how she came to be in the forests alone and so far from where she once came? But what was I to do? Leave her to die? What kind of monster would do such a thing?" Ebrima listened to Bacia with understanding as she spoke of the curious children she had introduced he and Scorpio to "Some of our tribe objected, but not many, they took them in, fed them, sheltered them and cared for them just as I have" Maura glanced over at Ebrima with a strangely cheeky glance, he chuckled without thought and Bacia glanced at Maura and beckoned her over and remarked to Ebrima "She is quite cheeky at times but she is quite adept with a bow"

Maura glanced nervously as she laid Scorpio back down and crept warily towards Bacia, Ebrima watched as Bacia welcome her into embrace with open arms "She is most beautiful isn't she Ebrima?" He nodded agreeing with her as a sweet smile fell upon Maura as Bacia said "She has just seen her first Hanukan" and held her tightly "Some of the old call these children Auana" she caught Ebrima's confused look and added "That would be Strays in your tongue Amulian" Ebrima noted how oddly content Maura looked in Bacia's arms as she spoke "We call the the children of Yvyushkha, whether they came from beyond the mountains, the desert or even Larahca, to us they are all Vishneki and to me they are all Vishneki children, they belong to the forest"

Ebrima watched the quite sweet affection of Maura and Bacia, almost lost in the shared fellowship between them as Bacia uttered "Did you believe that Vishneki people were not capable of loving another?" Ebrima shuddered from his daze and shook courteously "No, but I wasn't expecting to encounter a Larahchi child in the forest" Bacia grinned wryly "Just as Maura didn't expect to encounter a Amulian man adoring a Hanukan child?" Ebrima contemplated briefly before Maura's curiously deep gaze caught his attention as Bacia spoke gently to her "This child is the chief of the Hanukah" Maura's glance remained trained upon Ebrima as Bacia added "Scorpio is the child of Sasori" Maura glanced up at Bacia in disbelief "Sasori?" Bacia nodded gently "Yes Sasori" she glanced at Maura with affection in her eyes "Leave us to speak please my child" Maura didn't hesitate to tip her head in respect to Bacia and Ebrima before carefully and quietly departing without question.

Ebrima watched Maura as she took a single last glance over her shoulder at Scorpio and offering a compassionate smile to him as she left. "Tell me Ebrima, you have seen our them learning to fight, how would they fair against Scorpio?" Ebrima thought deeply how to reply as Bacia offered "Speak truthfully Ebrima, after all the truths you have told, now would be a poorly chosen time to deceive me" Ebrima looked at the ground and freed his lips "Scorpio would take their light before they could blink" Bacia paused but to Ebrima's surprise did not seem angered "Scorpio is a pure bred warrior, her father was the most revered warrior ever seen, even you, a humble Amulian, know of his name and reputation?" Ebrima nodded "Yet you never saw her father?" he shook his head "No, but word of his victory over Ovani even reached the smallest towns of Amula"

Bacia paused in contemplation and offered "You have seen this child bring fear upon the most feared Larahchian killer?" Ebrima nodded "I have seen enough fear to know that Deimos was afraid of Scorpio" Bacia glared at him "Yet he is the best Larahchian warrior known?" Ebrima nodded "Yes but he was afraid of her, like me he witnessed her tear through Larahchian and even Hanukan warriors" Ebrima paused longingly looking at the stricken Scorpio "I have never witnessed a warrior like her" Bacia uttered to him "She is a pure warrior Ebrima, these children are not" he glanced at her disbelieving what words she had said "Do you think Sephtis will care that Maura is Larahchian? Or a child? Or do you believe that he will treat her with the same contempt that he treated any other child with? The same cruelty he inflicted upon your own child Eliane that led you to leave Amula and venture to the deserts of Hanukah? Ebrima fell silent as Bacia added "Did Sephtis care that Elian was but a child?"

Ebrima shook his head in sorrow "No" Bacia glanced upon him "Look at me Amulian" Ebrima looked up into her eyes "I do not question your valor Amulian, you have proven this nor do I question that you will offer this Hanukan child the same affections that I offer Maura" Ebrima listened to her voice growing ominously compassionate as she added "Ovani tried to capture the lands beyond the mountains and he failed once the snows returned, his father also failed and there is no doubt that Sephtis will fail too" Bacia paused clenching her hands "Sasori's reputation was forged by saving this tribe from annihilation by Ovani. Once Septhis turns his eyes back to the forest there is no Hanukan tribe to come to our aid, the only thing behind us is an empty red desert" Ebrima watched as Bacia scowled at the floor "I do not wish for children to have to learn how to fight and kill each other but once Sephtis turns his attentions back to our lands, they will have no other choice but to fight for each other"
