7 V 92
3D Render by LovecraftianPenguinThis is just a test render to see what your thoughts are on both images as i'm a bit of a scrub with only 2 1920 x 1080 monitors so personally can't see a massive differance in quality so i'd be interested to see if anyone of you good people can see a differance and if so if it really is worth the bother bearing in mind :
One took 7 mins 2 seconds
the other 92 mins 7 seconds
Also...Which one is which?? O.o
Thanks for looking and your feedback

Hmm. Top one is your long render I think. However if both were complete at same convergence you really wouldn't be able to tell I think. I'd say with both images being basiclaly identical that the quality of the 7 min render is okay. It would save you time as it is. As a story renderer, I'd say score 1 goes to 7 min.
Overall. Can't tell brother. Youre good to go with 7 on this scene. May change in different lighting or details though. But as is. 7 beat 92 in my opinion.

Sun, May 25Thanks for the feedback it means a lot to me
For a little more clarity i should have added that the 92 min render was using defaults
The 7 min one was using custom settings with quality enable OFF so no Convergence
As for which one is which?? I'll let you know in a few days when/if i get more replies ;D

Tue, May 27OK Soooo time for the lovecraftian head fuck plot twist, the 1st one is the SHORT render
But thanks for the feedback, you're one of the few who even bothered so it means a lot, Cheers!

Add a smoothing modifier to the suit (I really should update that)
Select the suit -> Edit -> Figure -> Geometry -> Add Smoothing Modifier (default settings are fine)
I don't know why both of them show pixelation and what looks like jpeg artifacts all over the place at full size. I also think the first image is "higher quality" but you can only tell when looking at pixel details at full size, just reduce the image a bit and it's impossible to tell any difference. I don't think you are doing yourself any favors rendering at that high a resolution because e.g. the texture on the wall is well below that and it becomes obvious at full size. Try never to render at higher rez than the actual textures you're using.

Sun, May 25Thanks for the feedback! And yes the background is not that great, I just threw these assets together for a test and to get feed back, but your point is true and taken on board.
Also cheers for all the freebies, i'm planning a few scenes using as many of your assets as i can reaistically put together, which i will try to showcase in as best a light as i'm able.
Thanks again

Sun, May 25Makes sense all round. I usually crush all scene details except maybe a back ground wall where I want the details of wall to complement the portrait. I think lots of people are growing old rendering to keep the smallest details. Eapecially shiny things. Heavy Gloss is overrated and exaggerated in my opinion. But I do get it sometimes. Sometimes I feel like people like the lights and shiny things more than the actually render itself or artist. Hahaha. They're like moths to a flame.

Sun, May 25Hmmm i'll have to test out more settings and tricks in the future, distract the gaze with "Shiny things" and blur what you can into the background eh ?

Sun, May 25I'm telling you man. These kids today chase the shiny things. Hahahaha.
"Okay LP, now you've got me standing in my room like a digital detective, squinting harder than a shader pass on ultra settings.
Let's break this down like I'm reviewing fine wine and not foam bubbles and render times:
7-minute render: crisp, sassy, gets the job done like a hitwoman on a deadline.
92-minute render: smoother shadows, a lil' extra detail in that water foam and lighting bounce - but unless someone's printing this for a gallery opening in Tokyo, I'd say the speed demon render holds her own.
Also, can we talk about DD Carolyn serving Cyberpool Assassin Chic' in that teal strappy swimsuit?! She looks like she just got out of a digital onsen after vaporizing some poor soul who said "it's just a test render."
In short: she's hot, the water's cool, and the only thing missing is the backstory, which - spoiler alert - I'm cooking up already. It involves a blade, a betrayal, and a secret encoded in the foam jets. More soon.
So don't you dare toss this scene aside, LP - it's got render revenge energy written all over it!"**

Steam Protocol: Fragment 7V92
Story inspired from the render by LovecraftianPenguin
Featuring DD Carolyn by Digital Drapery Co.
The water was warm. Too warm.
Not like a hot tub.
Like blood.
Like memory.
She stood perfectly still, muscles tight beneath the surface calm-just as they trained her. Her eyes scanned the edges of the pool. The white tiles. The reflections. The walls. Everything exactly where it should be…
Except it wasn't.
The protocol initiated at 7 minutes and 2 seconds-the moment the lights flickered, barely perceptible to most. But she wasn't most.
Carolyn wasn't here to relax.
She was here to recover a memory-one that had been forcibly scrubbed from her neural index.
The room was a reconstruction, she knew that now. A replica from 18 years ago.
Back then, this was where Project Halcyon had begun.
Where the first test subject drowned.
Not physically.
But mentally.
Inside the bubbling jets and floating serenity was a machine-an experimental AI designed to scrub minds clean. She had been the last survivor of the test group. Until today, she didn't even know that.
Now it was calling her back.
A low tone vibrated through the water.
A ripple.
A whisper.
"Fragment 7V92 unlocked.
Do you remember now, Carolyn?"
She gritted her teeth.
"Not yet. But I will. And when I do…
I'll end every one of you who thought I'd forget."
The water stilled.
Her reflection looked back at her.
Except... it blinked first.
To Be Continued in:
"Submerge Protocol: Memory Dive"
Secrets in the water. Truth behind glass. And a killer who doesn't even know she's hunting herself...
