Kong
3D Render by bisonraviThe rendering of the fur has consumed so many resources that I could not place the pretty blonde that Kong was supposed to protect from the claws of the T-Rex!

Outstanding image!
Great texture on Kong with a real sense of action.

The fur is a great asset on such animals, even if it costs a lot in terms of ressources from the computer...

An outstanding job! I always loved the original King Kong movie, and you capture the essence perfectly.

But I think you're talking about the version of 2005 of the movie (from Peter Jackson). The 'original' is a B&M movie from 1933 which has also its charm (even if we can't compare the quality of the special effects). We can easily forget the versions of 1976 (and the sequel in 1986) which are too bad!

Wed, Jul 16I am talking about the 1933 movie. That is the one that set the precedent for Kong fighting the T-Rex.

Wed, Jul 16Terribly sorry! I completely forgot this detail and I was thinking it was only in the Peter Jackson's version! Thanks to refresh my memory... I should watch the 1033's version again!

Still a damn good image. I guess if I was in your place I'd try to postwork the blonde in or something. But that's just me.
I tend to be a bit set in my ways and relentless when there's a particular thing I want a certain way. Not on most things, but for the few things that are, yes.
Did you use AM's LAMH on the fur? (The paid one, not the freebie).

Sun, Jul 20Thanks a lot for the idea... I'll reuse Kong in other pictures anyway!
The fur has been done with IRay hairs. It takes less resources than LAMH and are easier to use!
