Name That Song July 2025
3D Render by maru_berlinThis moving song has been performed by many famous ladies (to name the weirdest ones: Nana Mouskouri and Sarah Brightman, but also by Mike Oldfield and Scooter (!)), and although the origin is not quite clear, one can safely call it an oldie (not a hint: "This is an oldie, but, uh... well, it's an oldie where we come from..."
). Speaking of movies: it also has been used as a soundtrack in it’s probably most touching interpretation.
(Again, this is not the piece of music I had planned to present, since I am still working on that one.)
For those who missed the "name that film" last month it was of course "How To Tame Your Dragon", which many of you spotted right away.

I Know I Know:
Avanti o popolo, alla riscossa
Bandiera rossa, bandiera rossa
Nope???
Well ... for that I'm (almost) where it would be sung (would just have to travel a little further south)

Wed, Jul 16Uhmmmmmm... not really.
And your are traveling into the completely opposite direction to where that song came from, I'm afraid. But the idea that Scooter (or any of the other (un-)named singers) may have sung that makes me fall over laughing. And thanks for submittig a guess.

Mmm, let's say: "Arrival" from ABBA...
By the way, this was Nana Mouskouri ( greek name) just to correct the mispelling...

Thu, Jul 17Although I have been socialised forcefully by my parents (when we went on holidays by car THE Abba tape was inserted with auto-reverse-play and I had to listen to the same songs for 6 hours non stop - I know all songs by heart), this is not the song in question.
But I corrected the typo. Thanks.

Sun, Jul 20Ok, your solution has Sarah Brightman asone of the singers. The main character is somehow vanishing. so, in a way, it is a "good-bye-song", but this is moving fairly away from the song in question.
The song looked for is probably just as old.
Better luck next time.
