The Princess could not believe her fate. Her kingdom in ruin, by a man she had once considered her friend. That Prince now drug her toward a secluded valley in his kingdom. A valley with cliffs so steep that once you fell in you would not be able to leave. At the edge of the cliff he pulled her close and whispered, "Thank you for your sacrifice." And before she could respond he pushed her over the edge. The plunge into the cold water of the lake below saved her from the fall. After swimming to shore she looked back and saw that the prince had gone. she screamed all the most unladylike things she knew after him but she did not know if he even heard her. She had seen a castle in the distance when on top of the cliff and decided that would be the best place to spend the night. She found the castle in ruin much like her life. she let out a laugh at the irony. as she looked for a place to sleep she noticed how badly damaged the castle was, what could have happened here? She got her answer when she heard a roar that could not come from any normal beast. A Dragon! She had to hide, but as she heard a low growl behind her, the Princess knew it was already too late.
