When I saw someone upload a new Ana de Armas model recently, I knew I had to recreate this shot. Blade Runner 2049 has always been a major visual inspiration for me, so I wanted to challenge myself and see how closely I could match the original look. I had a lot of fun with this one and really enjoyed experimenting with the lighting and mood to capture that same atmosphere.

Love the lighting and the DOF, my Nagging Hat (a close relative of the one in Hogwarts, only grumpier) keeps mumbling on that the scene light comes from the left, whereas the light source is on the right - but he is very fussy.

That is a surprisingly good morph of a beautiful actress.

As for the lighting, cinematic lighting is a DOP decision, there are pratical lights and then accent lights for a better shot.

Hey Tenserknot thanks for the comment, I just wanted to make sure I gave credit where it's due. They model is a store asset here https://www.renderhub.com/yamrouser/ballerina-slayer-for-genesis-8-8-1-female-1 . For me this was just an exercise to recreate the shot. Kind of like running practice drills ya know. I work on game renders most of the week so this was a nice break just to practice some core principles.
