Bloomed of Blood and Tears Fashion Contest Entry

About a few weeks ago, a friend mentioned this contest and I’ve been designing pieces for a while, but only recently started bringing my ideas into the 3D world, so I wasn’t feeling confident enough to enter. After a week of hesitation, I finally started and about two weeks later the work is done and I’m just happy I had the chance to participate.

Bloomed Of Blood And Tears
This piece explores the contrast between grief and a sad experience and the unexpected beauty or character development they can sometimes bring. The deep black velvet embodies sorrow and silence, while the vibrant red petals edged with tears, represent a rose blooming from blood and pain. The stone embroidery represents blood and tear. The design reflects the duality of fragility and strength: grief hardens, but it also gives birth to resilience and unexpected forms of beauty.

Here are the WIP screenshots. at first i started setting up my character with daz 3d and blender and then I'm using marvelous designer to create the dress, once its done I'm sending it back to blender for rendering and adding the final touches, I'm using geometry nodes to distribute the stones at the edges of the fabric and the gem strings are done with a curve, arraying and also some custom designing to make them look more unique.
