Thinking about high/avant garde fashion, shows tend to have some sort of political or current affairs statement, as well as showcasing what are considered wearable pieces of art rather than functional clothing for every day.
This show is to the theme “Nostalgia Kills a statement about how being nostalgic over the past can make you forget the present and future, ultimately trapping you in a vicious cycle of never moving forward, or “killingyou. If a full line was designed, each model would carry a fatal weapon such as a mace, a gun, etc, to continue with the theme. Sketches, thought process, and references in comments!
Everything from texturing, lighting, and modeling done in Blender 4.3.2.

Man Base Rig from previous 3D challenge
This is my first time entering and finishing a piece for a contest!
I took reference from common toys, mostly fisher price, to invoke nostalgic feeling for the general audience, trying to stay between the thin line of designing an avant garde outfit to personifying fisher price toys. I also keep the colors mostly to saturated ROYGBIV, and white and black to keep it as simple as possible. The intricate molding I found after studying the toys were very inspiring for the molding used on most of the armor and hat.
My other inspiration was from shampoootys work, who reimagines adult themed items into fisher price-esque toys! Shampoooty's Work
