Hi everyone! This is my entry to Renderhub Fashion contest 2, inspired by the ancient Egyptian mythology in the Amduat, the ancient Egyptian text depicting the sun god Ra's nightly journey through the underworld. My goal was to capture the dramatic final moments of the sun god Ra's perilous journey through the night before his glorious rebirth at dawn in shape of a couture dress.

The cape represents the chaotic darkness of the Duat and the coils of the serpent Apep. In contrast, the gold of the halo, jewelry, and bodice embodies Ra's eternal, divine light. The pleated skirt's gradient, shifting from deep celestial blue to the warm gold of dawn, symbolizes the passage through the twelve hours of night and the ultimate promise of rebirth.
