Prologue
========

Once, Bernardo had been an adventurer, like his sister Tess and his brother Rodolpho.
For years, they braved dangers together, chasing ruins, treasure, and survival against the odds.

But as his daughter Jambi grew older, Bernardo made a choice.
A few years before the world fell apart, he laid down his weapons and stepped away from that life.
He wanted to give her stability, a father’s presence, and a safer path than the one he had walked.

Then the apocalypse came.
And in the silence that followed, he became certain that they were all three gone.

Don’t Give Up

He was certain it was all over.
His daughter, his sister, his brother — gone.
The world had burned them away, and all that remained was ruin.
At least, that’s what he believed.

With the gun in his hand, he was ready to let go, convinced there was nothing left to fight for.

But then, a paw rose.
Dozer’s eyes met his, steady and unwavering.
It wasn’t words, but it was enough: “I’m still here.
And in that moment, he faltered.
Not everything was gone.
Not while Dozer still believed.

Yet far away, beneath the same broken sky, life endured.
Against all odds, Jambi, Tess and Rodolpho still breathed.
Scarred, exhausted, but alive.

Every step through the wreckage was a battle.
Every breath a quiet miracle.
The world had fallen, yet they had not.

They still had each other, and the loyal shadow of another dog at their side.

In a place where hope seemed like dust, they carried it still.
And as long as they were together,
there was something worth surviving for.
