On the Way To Work
3D Render by rrkknight3Maddison dressed for work and walked down the five floors to the street.
The top floor had seemed like such a good idea when she had signed the lease. She was reminded each morning why a good view was not the only way to select an apartment.
SECOND IMAGE
As she was crossing the street to the pool car she had brought home last night, her friend Brooklyn texted asking if she wanted to go out that night. She started composing a response.
THIRD IMAGE
There was a green flash that drew her attention from the phone just in time for her to see whatever it was fade. Perhaps it had been a street light showing through the dense foliage of the abandoned estate, although there was no corresponding yellow or red that followed.

Fri, Sep 12, 2025Not too much longer. I remember moving things to the top floor up tight staircases far too many times, too.

Fri, Sep 12, 2025Thank you. I wanted to set the initial mood and I needed the trip to her car to be cast in shadow.
