Her war paint, once a symbol of fury and defiance, was streaked by soot, sweat, and now… a single tear.
It rolled slowly down her cheek, carving a clean path through the ash like a river through ancient stone.
She didn’t cry for the dead.
She cried for the silence.
For the friends who would never sing again, and for the enemies who died without understanding why they fought.
The wind caught her red-streaked hair, whispering over her shoulder like a memory she couldn’t hold onto.
And still… she stood.
