From a surveillance rig parked low near the alley mouth in Sector 7. Interior dim. Dash optics hum. Inside sit two officers—Shade, a fieldwise ghost with precinct scars and registry clearance, and Latch, a junior runner still syncing to the grid, thinking the beat follows protocol.

Shade: "Finally..." Her voice is low, deliberate. The lens tightens on a blonde in red—legs like scaffolding, dress like a warning.
Latch: "Who’s the dame?" He leans forward, eyes tracing the rhythm in her stride.

Shade: "Registry transfer. Manifest’s been ghosted. Came in through the Saffron Corridor."
Latch: "She moves like she’s got clearance to walk through walls." Pauses. "Who’s the pretty boy tailing her?"

Shade: "That’s KIm." She says it like a file name, not a person.
Latch: "Just Kim for a vault-class drop?"

Shade: "K-I-m. Killer Im."
Latch: "Yakuza?"

Shade: "Registry-bonded. Black ops. Ran deep corridors during the Signal Collapse. No insignia, no trail."
Latch: "Huh. I figured street muscle. Didn’t peg him for ghost-tier."

Shade: "That’s the point. You’re not supposed to."
Latch: "What’s in the luggage?"

Shade: "Could be tech. Could be leverage. Could be something that rewires precinct doctrine."
Latch: "And we just sit here?"

Shade: "Until the handoff." She watches the alley like it owes her something. "Until the street decides what kind of night it wants to be."
