On Halloween Eve, the elderly witch Winnie Spinach wasn't stirring sinister potions, but rather her famous pumpkin and mushroom stew. Unlike the witches in storybooks, Winnie was as gentle as an autumn leaf.
That night, her guests of honor were the wise raven Corvus, an expert in Edgar Allan Poe's poetry, and a hyperactive family of mice led by the small and perpetually hungry Pip. The drama begins when Pip, trying to sneak a piece of blue cheese, accidentally tips Winnie's jar of magical sparkles into the stew. Suddenly, the stew begins to glow, and the mushrooms start singing Christmas carols!

Winnie, far from getting angry, laughs her characteristic soft “Hee-hee-haha!and uses a bit of "tidying-up" magic to give the stew an even more delicious flavor. The dinner ends with the witch, the raven, and the mice sharing jokes, telling (mouse-friendly) scary stories, and drinking hot apple tea, proving that there is nothing more magical than a good supper among friends.
