When Maddison reached her floor, she saw that Albert was waiting by the door.

She knelt down and told the cat everything that had happened since that morning.

"... weird books ..." "... glowing crystal ..." "... very old body ..."

She thought to herself, "I'll have to tell the office." and resumed talking to Albert

"... something horrible in the ceiling ..."

Here she paused for a long while. Albert just sat patiently.

She continued with "I think I lost my flashlight. Do you want to come in?"

Albert responded with a meow and stood up.
