Dreaming of a White Christmas

Avila was far to young to fly the long distance to the winter fields, where the older ones would gather at a place called North Pole to traditionally sing songs, drink a lot of eggnogg and set the hut of a certain Santa Claus - surely an evil man - on fire. But until her wings were fully grown, all she could do was dream of white snow falling softly to the ground.
Inspiration:
After looking at the all the other entries so far I thought I would be nice not to have another blueish winter scene with lots of snow in it... *laughing*. And for those visiting my accounts regularly it is quite clear that it had to be a song title, too.
Technical blah blah :
Simple DAZ rendering (see last uploaded image), post-processed with PS, Nik and ON1. Since it's almost something for a children's book – well, not with my storyline, but still – I thought a painterly look would suit the image well – this time created with JixPix Pastello and again softened in PS.

Lovely story and art. I was just thinking the same thing about the "blue winter" scenes, and I'm finishing a new post with a sunny atmosphere, the contrast between snow and sun =)
