Claus vs. Krampus The Night Before the Night Before
3D Render by millerblainePulling off Christmas without a hitch is a pretty mean feat. Every year Santa keeps up with new advancements simply to stay in step with population growth. For instance, a dry run of his route on December 23rd helps him to pinpoint trouble areas, ensuring a smooth present delivery. The Jolly elf isn't getting any younger, and neither is the reindeer team. So to save them for the big night, Santa takes a hover sled he has dubbed "The Sleigher". It's a prototype — one of three ever built. It never made it into production. Tariffs impacted the outsourcing of parts, not to mention pushback from the FAA and lobbyists that further crippled the project. One belongs to the developer, one was destroyed when it drew a Canada Goose into the primary intake. Santa has the only other one. Additionally, Santa packs a little heat for the trip in the form of "The Polarizer" a directed inverse energy weapon that instantly freezes it quarry with an Arctic blast. It's handy to fend off those who would seek to ruin Christmas.
On the evening of his test run, somewhere over a small Ohio suburb, Santa caught a glimpse of a hoary figure stuffing children into burlap sacks. It was his arch nemesis, Krampus. Perhaps the children made the naughty list, but not so naughty for the fate that awaits. This simply would not do. He spun The Sleigher around and came in low in a long, graceful arc, bringing her to rest gently in a back yard far enough away from the commotion to remain undetected. He slipped the Polarizer from his bag and thumbed a control. It hummed to life, emitting a soft blue glow. He thumbed a dial, cranking it to 11.
The snow in the street was spotty, so ole St. Nick was stepping lightly as he surprised Krampus from behind. "Let him go, Krampy!" Santa snarled. "Sure thing!" Krampus replied as he unhanded the child. In a flash, he had drawn a chain and swung it Santa's direction. But the wise old elf knew better than to stand too close to his crafty foe. He leveled the polarizer at Krampus, but the chain was enough of a distract to afford Krampus time to take cover. The icey blast instantly froze the mailbox shielding Krampus (And you thought the mail was slow before). The sound of the captured children making their escape drew attention from Krampus, permitting Santa an opportunity to gain position and squeeze off an arctic blast that froze Krampus in his tracks. "That should hold you." Santa grumbled as he resumed his mission. But as we all know, revenge is a dish best served cold. And Krampus had nothing to do but wait... for Spring. Wait and plot.

Fri, Dec 12Thanks so much.
Hahaha. Yeppers, that’s Joey. He just sort of wandered in. He isn’t sure how he got there… he was about to ask for directions. Shame on me.
