We did not leave the ground behind.
We carried it with us.

Every wall, every tower, every promise
stacked upon the previous one
until the weight stopped being physical
and became memory.

This city does not orbit a planet.
It orbits what we could not let go.

Progress was never about distance.
It was about accumulation.
And at some point, what we build to survive
becomes what keeps us suspended
unable to land
unable to fall.
