Lady Amanita's Rearguard

[or "Monsters will be boys", (or, perhaps more acurately, "Boys will be monsters.")]
Lady Amanita Virosa, mistress of swords and aristocratic outcast from the renegade race of Night Elves, finds herself leading a ragtag band of brigand-mercenaries.
She has previously defeated every one of them in single combat [well... all except the goblin brothers Snotrun and Nigel, whom she vanquished concurrently], and, sparing their lives, each has sworn an oath of allegiance to her.
Because of this - or perhaps, due to her noble bearing, natural air of command and utterly evil ruthlessness - the troll, hob-goblin, ogre, goblins and bogglin-priest all defer to her in battle, and have even gone so far as to each express their wish that her Ladyship leads them from the front whilst they all follow her behind.
This has inevitably led 'her ladyship' to dub them her "Rearguard"
Lady Amanita, having just successfully performed a solo infiltration of a wizard's tower - putting the occupant to flight, and the building to the torch - returns with the treasure she has ransacked: causing her "Rearguard" to become instantly enraptured by her booty...
