Sat, Mar 21As we know, Shere Khan hates humans with a passion for the wrongs they have done to him. Mowgli, too, is a victim of his lust.
Kaa is cunning and has mastered the art of hypnosis; even though she pursues Mowgli for her own purposes, she is not interested in his death.
So here, too, she misleads Shere Khan to give Mowgli a head start.
Shere Khan doubts Kaa’s words, but this is possibly the best information he can get to find Mowgli.
