AleatorySoile #441 - Guardians
3D Render by Nemmesea"The castle stretched out before her. Ever-present, always poised in that uncertain space between guardian and prisoner, after thousands of years of resisting time. Soile crossed the threshold without pausing, letting rose petals fall from above, as if the place itself breathed her name with every step.
Butterflies emerged from the shadowy corners, fluttering lightly, almost joyfully, guiding her without demanding anything in return. Soile continued down the main corridor, listening to the echo of her footsteps mingle with the deep murmur of the castle. There was something about that sound that propelled her forward, as if announcing that something new was about to arrive.
As she entered the central hall, the butterflies dispersed in a wide circle, revealing a shadow emerging from the floor of the vast room. Soile took a deep breath. She wasn't sure if she had truly heard it, or if her imagination—exhausted after so many centuries without rest—was beginning to play tricks on her.
There were no revelations waiting for her. Nothing. Only silence, space, and the persistent feeling that she had to keep going. And she did. Because, after all, walking alone was the only way the world made sense to her".
