Street Kids 001
3D Render by UdoKStreet children are poor or homeless children who live on the streets of a city, town, or village. Homeless youth are often called street kids, or urchins; the definition of street children is contested, but many practitioners and policymakers use UNICEF's concept of boys and girls, aged under 18 years, for whom "the street" (including unoccupied dwellings and wasteland) has become home and/or their source of livelihood, and who are inadequately protected or supervised.

Boy:
Come on little sister, don't be so sad.
Look, I also found something to eat.
Girl:
Brother, that's too little for the two of us, it's not enough.
Boy:
Yes, it is, even if it's little, it's better than nothing. As long as we both have something to share, it's enough.
Girl:
I would like to have your optimism, dear brother.

Sat, Apr 04YES, there are indeed certain parallels to the film you mentioned (see below), even though that was not my intention.
But thank you very much for giving me food for thought. I would very much like to see this topic not swept under the rug too often.
Thank you very much.

THE KIDS
*The Kid*, also known in Europe as *The Tramp and the Child*, is a 1921 American silent tragicomedy directed by Charlie Chaplin. The film stars Charlie Chaplin, Edna Purviance, and Jackie Coogan, who became a child star thanks to this film. Charlie Chaplin’s first feature-length film as a director tells the story of a tramp who finds a small child and raises him.
However, external circumstances threaten the close bond between the two. The film blends comedy with social drama, which was almost unique at the time. The Kid was a major box office success in its day and remains one of Chaplin’s most famous works to this day. In 2011, the film was added to the National Film Registry.
