Sun, Apr 19Thanks, it's a cool model but always struggled with using as main subject in an image

Sun, Apr 19Congrats! You did it this time (and you did it really, really good

I think everyone has an item or two in their library they purchased because it's beautiful and unique. The challenge is to find a way to use those very unique items, I applaud your creativity for this image, very well done! Thanks for sharing.

Sun, Apr 19Thanks, you're dead right. I have quite a few old "What the hell can I do with this?" assets that I'm trying to make something with
I suspect it is Birdman's version of it: https://www.deviantart.com/birdman99/art/Neverwas-Hauler-449323200

Tue, Apr 21Interesting maybe Birdman and petipet are the same or both used a common source?
This is the actual product I used although I had to tweak all the textures to play nice in Vue

Tue, Apr 21Ooo. The Irony of missed opportunity: Birdman rendered the image in Vue. Naw. I say petipet's version is the better bet. Birdman's raster meshes are generated from native Rhino, which I suspect is nurbs-based, and therefore generated by algorithm, which is a disaster of over-defined surfaces, redundant vertices and so on. I know: I have cleaned up several Birdman meshes. Usually takes weeks.

Tue, Apr 21That's great background info which makes my settings seem more rational
- thanks. It's weird cos the product page was telling me grotty urban steampunk but the model was saying a Wild Wild West vibe which is where I went with the 2 recent images and an earlier one I want to redo.
