Street Kids 006
3D Render by UdoKStreet children are poor or homeless children who live on the streets of a city, town, or village. Homeless youth are often called street kids, or urchins; the definition of street children is contested, but many practitioners and policymakers use UNICEF's concept of boys and girls, aged under 18 years, for whom "the street" (including unoccupied dwellings and wasteland) has become home and/or their source of livelihood, and who are inadequately protected or supervised.
------
The two children have been living on the streets for a while and have learned to assess danger.
But these two adults make a friendly and trustworthy impression.
Boy:
What do you think sis, they seem pretty nice?
Girl:
Yeah, but I don't know. Whatever you mean.
Boy:
I think that's OK. But only if you want it too.
Girl:
Brother, I trust you. Where you go, I go.
The children go along, even though they don't know what to expect.
The first big surprise, they have never seen such a big car.
The brother is thrilled by the car, but his sister is a little afraid to get in.
Boy:
Come on, sis it's not dangerous. Look, it's soft and comfortable. Give me your hand and I'll help you.
Girl:
It's so big and weird, like locked up.
Woman:
No, you don't have to be afraid. Whenever you get too uncomfortable we will stop and you can get off.
Girl:
Help me brother, I can't get up.
