Experimenting with a write on anything script

Basically trying different approaches to the lack of a numbering system on team uniforms. Definitely some limitations but worked fairly well. Doesn't feel to practical if you actually start adding more than 2 or 3 characters though.
Mainly posted in case anyone else is running into the same problem I have and also happen to suck at photoshop.

I've messed around with the message shirt magic; and decals (and LIE) and me don't get along so great.. so I'm working up the courage.
The locker numbers look great! The cloth ones work; maybe some cloth contours or wrinkles underneath the text?

I actually have both of those products too. Never been able to get the Message shirt to work. Varsity patches just aren't the type of lettering/ numbering I'm wanting for a athletic uniform.
Part of my problem is probably laziness. I can have up to 15 characters in a scene and there's just too many steps involved with the write on anything product. My impression is its more for walls, signs, etc.. though it does work on clothes with some work.

I took a side hobby that I made backgrounds and images for screensavers for the pc into a semi main hobby when my lower back couldn't take the hits and crashes from my main hobby. I basically just make short stories for my own amusement these days. Never liked postwork so I focused on what the iray and surface tab settings can do and can generally get the look I'm going for.
So basically, I can make some good speech bubbles in photoshop and I've never messed with Blender.

Maybe you or we can convince a few manufacturers that there's a need for different numbers on sportswear. It's not that hard to do for producers if it is planed ahead... and as a manufacturer, you already have the textures and texture maps on hand. Let's see

Mon, May 18I actually think BadKitty3D is going to work on something when she has the time for the lettering! Fingers crossed!
And kinda referring to the thread you started, I'm at the point I'll probably grab a baseball glove and motocross helmet made for Blender that I have wishlisted in the store and do my best to scale and fit them to G8.
