The second of a series of close-up portraits to test the 4K textures on a level 4 subdivision of the Genesis 9 mesh. This one with some freckles... smile

I have to come back to you on this, because I find the brief info you shared very interesting. So: you set the Render SubD Level (Minimum) from 2 or 3 to 4 and then worked with some nice lighting and tone mapping?

Exactly. As there is only one character and no other component on the scene (except hairs, top clothing and/or jewelry), I know I can render the scene with the best level of subdivision and textures. The characters are subdivided up to level 4 on rendering, so we can get all the details from the meshes. I used 4K textures because I don't have the GPU RAM to use 8K maps (some models do have 8K maps, which is monstruous). I am not even convinced the necessity of 8K maps as the results from the renders are enough detailed! emote
