No, my Brute has nothing in common with DAZ's La Brute! It's a character created entirely from the G8 base by combining G8 characters and lots and lots of morphs, then converted to 8.1. Just like the other characters in my crime comedy: Le Bon, Le Truand, Le Docteur...

They're all handsome guys. I... did not know you could convert up to G8.1 from 8. I may have to go hunting for some tutorials. I enjoyed catching up in your gallery and I look forward to learning more about all of their stories (and their collected antics, too).

To convert one of your G8 characters to G8.1, it's very simple: starting with your G8 character, create the following files : the material preset and the shaping preset for your character. If, like me, you use morphable hair systems (Redstudio’s eyebrows, for example), be sure to save your eyebrow shape preset. Then delete your G8 character, load a basic G8.1 character, and apply all the presets you created earlier. Save your character as a character preset or better yet, as a subset. Then all you'll have to do is make a few tweaks based on the expressions that were improved in version 8.1. That's it !
