Awake
3D Render by rrkknight3Olivia woke to pain in her wrists and shoulders. She was looking down from a height at a litter of human bones, mixed with moss.
From the angle of the sun she guessed it was near sunset.
She could remember Celduin's battle tent collapsing around her, trying to run and then ... nothing.
The pain in her shoulders made it difficult for Olivia to direct her attention to anything else.
However in spite of the pain the growing tumult made her realize that a large entity was stirring in the stone ediface behind her.
Along with the fear of whatever that was and the pain of being suspended, she itched from the dirt that leaked into her shredded clothes.
Raising her eyes, Olivia could see the forest in which she and Celduin had been camping.
As the sun continued to set, she could now hear the deliberate movements of the thing, now shifting stone on stone in the unseeable area behind her.
With her wrists tied together across the branch from which she was hanging, there was nothing she could do.
