3D Render by MasterstrokeWell, after struggeling with hairs again, I tryed a radical descision.
Sorting out all kinds of low quality hair, failing dforce hair, strand based hair for G9 only, I did what a lot of real life femels would do.
Hair cut, in order to avoid trouble with surfaces, simulations or just weird bendings.
So what is your opinion on Roxy's new hair style?
Should I leave it?

It looks good. Kind of unkempt, but sometimes that's what you want. Some hair looks too perfect, like the person just stepped out of a hair salon.

It just seems impossible to find realistic, non-strand based dforce hair, that matches my level of pickyness.
No, and Linday doesn't do it. Something doesn't look right on the hairs. Maybe the shaders?

Sideview looks ok to me, but from the front this hairstyle is not exactly flattering. But all in all it is a different look (i do prefer the old hairstyle to this one, which doesn't mean that I am against a spiced up new one).

The peak up front messes with me.. nothing major and the hair style looks good. You mentioned "at some point this hair has to be untied .. what would it look like". Exactly! I'd love to see a family of hair sets, one style each for everyday, messy, wet, and fancy!
