This image took me the full two months to complete. I decided to create the render entirely in DAZ Studio rather than Blender, which meant learning much of DAZ’s lighting, materials, cameras, and rendering workflow almost from the ground up. Normally, I transfer my characters from DAZ into Blender immediately, but for this piece I felt that the characters and camera perspective looked more flattering inside DAZ Studio. After completing the main render, I used Krita for final touch-ups, including additional smoke, atmospheric effects, and color grading.
