For the “Sexy Robotcontest, I wanted to explore the theme through a retro pin-up direction rather than a darker or more conventional sci-fi approach. The idea was to create a charming, glamorous mechanical character inspired by 1940s–1950s nose art, vintage postcards, and optimistic retro-futurism.

I liked the contrast between the soft, playful pin-up attitude and the hard-surface nature of the robot design. Her porcelain-like panels, exposed brass mechanisms, rivets, and worn paint were meant to make her feel both elegant and manufactured — like a lovingly maintained vintage machine.

The rocket and sky composition were designed as a tribute to old pulp covers and aviation posters, with a cheerful sense of motion and a slightly weathered postcard finish. I wanted the final image to feel nostalgic, colorful, and a little cheeky, while still showing the modeling, texturing, and compositing work behind the character.
