3D Render by PersianDudeSince I joined the challenge quite late, I ran out of time and ended up submitting just minutes before the deadline (after running into a few PC issues). Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to rig the character or bring my original idea to life.
Instead, I manually posed the body parts and created a simple T-pose(-ish) render.
By the way, she's actually a fully mechanical robot. Her entire body is robotic, but she has projectors embedded throughout it that allow her to generate a realistic holographic layer of skin. She can activate this holographic skin whenever and wherever she wants, giving her the appearance of a human while remaining completely mechanical underneath.
I used Daz only to create a base mesh for the proportions. From there, I sculpted and modeled every part of the character myself and textured everything in Substance Painter.
I essentially built the character twice: once as a fully mechanical robot and once as a human body with skin. I then used a shader to blend between the two based on the distance between the skin mesh and the robotic body, allowing the holographic skin effect to appear and disappear seamlessly.
