Chaos' Vest
3D Render by aatabs24I finally got off my bum and started modeling chaos' vest. This is probably one of the most complex things I've made. I sculpted the wrinkles using multiresolution in Blender, and I had a better time than I thought. I've been trying to paint proper seams onto my textures and failing horribly. I think that doing things this way is a much better idea.
This was also rendered in the newly released Blender 5.2! This is my favorite Blender release in a while so I'm really excited that it will have long time support. The new cloth physics are very nice! I didn't use those this time. Last time I posted a Blender render, I mentioned that Iray skin is superior in my opinion. I have changed my mind because I LOVE 5.2 subsurface scattering. It's a little hard to describe, but as an example you can get nice light through the ears without a face full of green intersecting geometry and bright red shadows. I can't wait to keep using it for years to come.

I used the Blender plugin Hair Tool by bartoszstyperek @ gumroad to make his hair, and his skin texture was painted in Marmoset Toolbag 5.
