Sun, Jul 19There's a process whereby you can upload a Genesis 2 fbx figure to Mixamo, apply an animation, then download that. I have a script that I downloaded somewhere (I don't remember where) which fixes the rotations. Then you save it as an animation. It can be applied to Genesis 8 and it should work pretty well. It does for me.
Mixamo's animations are for the most part derived from the open source Carnegie-Mellon motion captures that have been in the public domain for fifteen years or so. Being human motion captures, they are very good.
The final touch was to apply the Spring Dynamics script to her pectoral bones. You can get Spring Dynamics at:

The script for fixing rotations is free. I can post it in the forum for you if you'd like.

Sun, Jul 19Here's the tutorial I first followed to get this to work on my animations.

Sun, Jul 19How long did it take you to make this animation?
I would like to fix rotations script if it not to much effort...
I fix rotations all the time with the DAZ Timeline graph, but it would very interesting to how this script works...

Sun, Jul 19There's actually a link to that script in the tutorial description.

Sun, Jul 19Oh, how long?
That depends on what you mean by "make this animation". The animation itself as far as body movement took almost no time. Once you save the animation as outlined above, it's available and ready togo.
Building the set, setting up camera motion and lighting, etc. etc. etc. took obviously much longer. If I use it to demonstrate dForce on one of our products, it takes longer still because I have to simulate the clothing in the animation. Then I have to check for any poke through instances and correct for that, and on and on.
Doing a straight up nude animation like this with what, I think it was 260 frames rendered at 589x920 took a little over an hour to render using a max samples value of 65. The set was already in place.

Sun, Jul 19I never Render in Iray because it takes far too long and often is no better than Filament. Have you tried just a Filament
animation Render? You get a much larger image size, and a 260 frame animation like the one you made takes about 5 to 8 minutes to render,,, Also it much faster to set up a Filament render than Iray...

Sun, Jul 19Thanks again...
It is always interesting when you get into complex things like animations how different ideas and things work....
I believe now that my idea of fixing rotation is entirely different than the rotation you mention which is mentioned in the tutorial as a baked joint rotation script preset... Something I was not aware of and need to be...
Lots more to examine....

Sun, Jul 19You're welcome.
I'm an Iray guy through and through. I like photoreal.
