Playing with the Fishies

Summertime fun makes me think of being a little girl again, and pretending I'm a mermaid in the ocean as I swim around the pool and pretend I can talk to the fish. So, that directly inspired this piece - a mermaid, playing with some fish!

Lots of fun playing with lighting (which is my favourite thing to do), and some tedious placement of fishies and bubbles, but I'm really happy with the piece overall. Especially her little fishie friend poking out from behind her tail.

I've uploaded my wireframes to show the different lights used, I tried to use a sort of forced perspective to give some depth, so that was something new for me, but overall really enjoyed working on this.
