SPF 500 (A Quite Unusual Beach Guest)
3D Render by SabineCreationsI wanted to approach the summer theme with a healthy dose of fantasy humor. After all, even the mightiest battle-hardened orc deserves a relaxing vacation once in a while.
Instead of a battlefield, he enjoys a luxurious tropical beach resort, comfortably lounging in the sun with a refreshing cocktail in one hand and enough SPF 500 sunscreen to protect even the toughest green skin. His perfect summer day is completed by an elegant elven waitress serving an unusual beach menu: a juicy burger with a surprisingly expressive face and a freshly prepared lobster.
The entire scene is built around the unexpected contrast between two iconic fantasy races placed in an everyday summer vacation setting. Hopefully, it brings a smile to your face.
Software & Workflow
Created in DAZ Studio (Iray) with extensive post-processing in Adobe Photoshop.
Post-Processing
Seamlessly blended the 3D sand plane into the photographic beach background using soft masking and carefully matched color values.
Added subtle contact shadows and ambient occlusion beneath the deckchair, sandcastle, sunscreen, and both characters to naturally integrate every element into the environment.
Meticulously refined the local textures, enhancing the structure and definition of the elf's face and hair to reveal lifelike micro-details while preserving a natural appearance.
Refined local contrast and material definition to improve depth and visual clarity while maintaining the bright, sunlit atmosphere.
Finished with a very subtle monochrome film grain (approximately 1.5%) to unify the rendered and photographic elements into a cohesive final image.

This is wonderful! I love how it is so unexpected, but it works so well. You did a fabulous job at combining the background beach image and the Daz sand. Good luck with the contest!

Hey, on the beach, even enemies share a commonality! What a fun and beautiful scene. Where can I buy some SPF 500? While my skin is not green, I seem to tan too quickly.
