The Pharaoh drew his blade without hesitation, ready to defend Egypt until his final breath.
But something unexpected happened.
The royal advisor turned away.
She ran.
For a brief moment, even FuryFox-09 believed the advisor had abandoned her king.
But appearances can be deceiving.
The advisor wasn't fleeing from the battle...
She was racing against time.
Hidden beneath the ruins of the temple lay the Heart of Anubis, an ancient relic sealed long before the first Pharaoh wore the crown. Legend claimed it was the only force capable of weakening the Destroyer.
The Pharaoh knew his role.
He didn't need to win.
He only needed to survive long enough.
Every strike of his sword...
Every step backward...
Every second he remained standing...
Bought precious time for the advisor to reach the hidden chamber.
From the shadows, FuryFox-09 finally understood the plan.
This battle had never been about defeating the monster.
It was about delaying the inevitable.
As the Destroyer unleashed a deafening roar, the temple shook violently.
Deep beneath the ruins...
