GLB Texture Extractor
GLB Texture Extractor
Stop opening Blender just to extract textures.
One of the most common frustrations when working with GLB
files is needing the embedded textures for another workflow.
Most artists end up opening Blender—or another heavy 3D application
—just to export a few image files.
I wanted something much simpler.
That's why I created GLB Texture Extractor.
A lightweight utility that extracts everything you need in seconds.
✨ Features
✔ Extract all embedded textures from GLB files
✔ Automatically generate a ready-to-use MTL file
✔ Perfect companion for OBJ workflows
✔ Fast and lightweight
✔ 100% local processing
✔ No internet required
✔ Your files never leave your computer
Perfect for
• OBJ conversion pipelines
• Game assets
• AI-generated 3D models
• Modding projects
• Mesh optimization workflows
• Archiving extracted textures
How it works
Select or drag your GLB file.
Choose an output folder.
(Optional) Set the MTL filename.
Click Extract Textures.
Copy the generated textures folder and .mtl file into your OBJ folder.
Add:
mtllib your_file_name.mtl
to the beginning of your OBJ file.
Done.
Requirements
• Windows 11 or newer
No installation.
No configuration.
Just run the executable.

I built this because I needed it myself.
After spending hours looking for a simple solution
and finding very few tools that did exactly what I wanted
I decided to create one. If it helps your workflow too, then it has achieved its purpose.
