Casio SK-5 Keyboard 3D Model
"The Casio SK-5 sampling keyboard"
This model were originally created in Vue Studio and then all parts and textures were baked and exported to OBJ. From there I continued with Daz Studio to adjust the textures and shaders.
About the Casio SK-5:
This little funny keyboard was a monster back in the day! I was 17 years old and bought my first sampler. I was playfully experimenting with making loop samples. After a few years I got fed up and bought the Casio FZ-1 to build a professional studio.
The Casio SK-5 is a sampling keyboard, manufactured in 1987 by Casio, said to be the second least expensive sampling instrument. The cheapest sampling instrument would be its little brother, the Casio SK-1. Like the SK-1, the SK-5 is popular for circuit bending or modding. One such mod is the ability for an SK keyboard to be triggered via MIDI. They may be found in thrift stores, pawn shops and online auction sites like eBay. Samples may be gathered from a built-in microphone or a line-level input from another source.
A keyboard that is functionally identical to the Casio SK-5 is the Realistic Concertmate-650 -- it was simply re-branded for distribution through Radio Shack stores.
