Vintage 1950s Astatic Microphone Model D104 Crystal Lollipop
Vintage 1950s Astatic Microphone Model D104 Crystal Lollipop
Process:
All parts are built with combined 3d tools like Bryce, Vue and Daz Studio. Then I transferred all parts in OBJ and put the model together in Daz Studio. The textures are made in Photoshop and then transferred to all parts in Daz Studio.
About:
You are looking at a gorgeous older Astatic model D-104 crystal microphone from the 1960's that comes with an original Astatic F-11 adapter shown.
The D-104 was manufactured by Astatic in Conneaut, Ohio and was to be used as a public address mic as it's non-directional. It was a very popular design for this company and they continued to make the D-104 for many decades retaining the same overall style but this was a D-104 with the later model glued on aluminum badge. This earlier version has the riveted badge. A very cool piece in very good cosmetic condition that would be excellent for display or prop purposes.
The mic still has the original crystal element and is like new. Excellent working with very strong output. This mic was stored in the most ideal conditions and as you can see she is a real gem. Just as nice as you could possibly ask for. The mic will increase in value so long as it's properly taken care of. You just don't find them this nice very often.
