Murder Drones: Boolean-Free Face Rig System 3D Model
Hi! This is an experimental face rig system for characters in the Murder Drones universe, created without using the usual Boolean modifiers.
The main feature of the project is that all facial animations and emotions work directly through the material using procedural maps and drivers. Minimum heavy geometry, maximum performance, and clean topology!
What awaits you when you open the file:
3D Viewport: Opens in optimized Solid mode so as not to overload your system at startup.
Simplify IS ENABLED: The Simplify parameter is enabled by default. It temporarily disables Subdivision Surface modifiers throughout the project so that the file can be opened safely and quickly, even on lower-end PCs.
Shader Editor: The material editor window is open, where you can immediately study the logic of procedural maps.
Text Editor: Embedded text file with a detailed description of the license and terms of use.
⚙ Technical specifications:
Blender version: Minimum — Blender 5.0+ (created and tested in Blender 5.2).
Procedural textures: All face graphics are mathematically generated — no external raster images (PNG/JPG).
Render engines: Full support and identical performance in both EEVEE and Cycles.
Innovative approach: No heavy Boolean operations on the visor. Movement of eyes, mouth, and emotion elements is controlled by a combination of drivers and material settings.
Script Execution Warning (Important!): Upon opening the file, Blender may show a warning pop-up saying that Python scripts are detected/disabled. Don't worry — there are no embedded background scripts or malicious code in the file! This warning is simply triggered by Blender's built-in Python math expressions used inside the facial drivers (clamp(), math formulas, etc.). You can safely click "Allow Execution" for the drivers to function properly.

This is the first public version (Proof of Concept).
The rig is complex and currently cluttered: The bone hierarchy and controller logic take time to master.
There are bugs: There are technical rough spots in the project that I plan to fix in future updates.
The project is released "as is" to show the community an alternative way to create visors without endless polishing in private access.
Language note: Some tooltips, node notes, and internal labels are still in Russian. There were just too many of them to translate before release! I apologize for the inconvenience — I'll translate everything in the next update.

The project is distributed absolutely free of charge under the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license in accordance with the policy of Liam Vickers and Glitch Productions regarding non-commercial fan content.
Main condition:
