Habibie designed the R80 for short to medium-haul flights. For example, the flight route Palembang-Bali.
The R80 aircraft can carry 80-90 passengers with a length of 32.3 meters with a wingspan of 30.5 meters and 8.5 meters high. This aircraft can also be shot with a maximum speed of 330 knots or about 611 Km per hour.
The aircraft made by PT Regio Aviation Industry (RAI) is scheduled to be airborne in 2022 after a series of certifications to be declared airworthy. While the aircraft will be mass produced in 2025.
