Silicone Cup Mold Housing and Slip Casting System 3D Model

This is a professional 3D printable mother mold casing system specifically designed to make flexible silicone molds for casting ceramic cups, coffee mugs, or resin drinkware. The system includes 3D printable outer housing shells (3D Print Mold Side & Bottom) used to pour custom silicone mold halves, which are then used as a durable split-mold for ceramic slip casting, plaster, concrete, or epoxy resin.

The design features integrated keys, alignment registration domes, and outer support jackets to ensure precise seam alignment, zero silicone distortion, and seamless demolding of gothic arched faceted cups.

Key Features:

Complete Silicone Casing System: Includes 3D printable housings for making both side silicone mold halves and the bottom silicone base plug.

Arch Faceted Cup Design: Features elegant arch-patterned faceted geometry with smooth flared rims.

Rigid Outer Jacket: Holds the soft silicone mold tightly in place during liquid ceramic slip casting or resin pouring to prevent bulging.

Leak-Proof Alignment: Embedded hemispherical registration keys guarantee repeatable, airtight mold alignment.

Multiple File Formats: High-resolution mesh files (STL, OBJ) along with parametric CAD formats (STP / STEP, Parasolid X_T / X_B) for direct editing and CNC milling.

Included Files:

.STL (Ready for 3D printing / slicers)

.OBJ (Universal 3D polygonal mesh format)

.STP / .STEP (Standard CAD format for customization)

.X_T / .X_B (Parasolid CAD exchange files)

3D PRINT SETTINGS & MANUFACTURING INSTRUCTIONS
3D Printing Parameters (FDM Recommended)

Recommended Material: PETG, ABS, or PLA+ (PETG or ABS is preferred for chemical resistance to silicone liquid and ease of mold release).

Layer Height: 0.16 mm - 0.2 mm (FDM) or 0.05 mm (SLA/Resin for ultra-smooth inner wall details on silicone).

Infill: 20% - 25% (Gyroid or Cubic infill for rigid structural walls).

Perimeters / Wall Count: 4 walls (Ensures liquid-tight housings for silicone pouring).

Supports: Minimal supports required on outer side housing flanges.

Silicone Mold & Casting Workflow

Silicone Pouring: Assemble the 3D printed housing shells, spray with silicone release agent, and pour liquid platinum-cure silicone (Shore 20A - 30A) into the casing to create the flexible inner silicone mold pieces (Side & Bottom).

Mother Mold Assembly: Once cured, demold the silicone inserts and place them back inside the rigid 3D printed outer housing jacket for structural support.

Casting: Pour ceramic slip, plaster, concrete, or epoxy resin into the assembled silicone mold system.

Demolding: Remove the outer 3D printed jacket, peel back the flexible silicone mold halves, and extract the finished faceted cup smoothly.
