Skatepark Ashtray Negative Mold 3D Model
Create unique, highly detailed street-culture home decor with this professional-grade Skatepark Ashtray Negative Mold. This 3D asset is specifically designed as a matrix (mother mold) to cast your own reusable flexible silicone molds.
The design features a classic skatepark layout, complete with a bowl (which acts as the ash receptacle), stairs, and ledges. Measuring 165x130 mm, it is the perfect size for desktop use. Engineered for precision and ease of use, the housing consists of four interlocking parts (Base model, Bottom mold, and Left/Right Wall molds) that secure tightly together using standard hardware.
Key Features:
Unique Skatepark Design: Features realistic skate arena elements including stairs and a deep bowl, perfect for casting resin or concrete ashtrays.
Silicone Mold Ready: This is a negative mold system strictly designed to pour liquid silicone into, allowing you to create a durable, reusable silicone mold for mass production.
Hardware Secured Assembly: The walls and base are designed to be bolted together using standard M3x8 bolts, ensuring a perfectly tight, leak-proof seal during the silicone curing process.
Multi-Format Versatility: The included STEP file provides flawless, mathematically perfect solid geometry for advanced CAD modification or CNC machining.
Included File Formats:
STL: High-resolution mesh, perfectly optimized for immediate slicing and 3D printing.
OBJ: Standard 3D mesh format, ideal for importing into visualization or rendering software.
STEP / STP: Universal solid CAD file, perfect for CAM toolpath generation or parametric modifications.
Settings and Manufacturing Instructions
For FDM / Resin 3D Printing:
Print Orientation:
Bottom Mold: Print completely flat on the build plate.
Wall LR Molds: Print resting on their longest flat edge to maximize strength and minimize supports.
Base Model Mold (Skatepark): Print flat on its bottom base.
Supports: Minimal supports may be required for the overhanging edges of the skatepark bowl and stairs on the Base Model.
Layer Height: 0.12mm to 0.16mm is highly recommended. A very fine layer height ensures the silicone captures a smooth surface, reducing post-processing on your final casted ashtrays.
Infill: 20% - 30% (Cubic or Gyroid). The walls should be sturdy enough to handle the outward pressure of the liquid silicone.
Walls/Perimeters: Use 4 to 5 walls to ensure the screw holes are strong enough to withstand the tightening of the M3 bolts.
Assembly & Hardware: You will need standard M3x8 bolts to securely fasten the bottom plate and the side walls to the main housing.
Usage Tip: Before pouring liquid silicone, always apply a mold release agent to the inner walls of the 3D printed parts so the cured silicone peels out effortlessly.
