Here are some facts about the T-60:
The T-60 weighed 6.4 tons and used existing automobile production capacities.
The T-60 had a 6-cylinder GAZ-202 engine that produced 70 76 horsepower.
The T-60 had a top speed of 27.3 miles per hour and a range of 217 270 miles.
The T-60 used the chassis from the T-40 but gave up the ability to float for thicker armor protection.
Later models of the T-60 in 1942 had increased frontal armor, but the increased weight made the tank slower and less maneuverable.
The T-60 was considered a stop-gap tank until the factories could produce enough T-34s and KV tanks.
The T-60 became the most numerous small tank in history, with 6,292 units built between 1941 and 1942.
The T-60 appeared on the front lines during the Battle for Moscow and made a noticeable contribution to the war.
